WW1 Canadian Sapper Named Engineers Tunic 1918
A WW1 1902 pattern tunic of Canadian engineers with remains of clothing label giving date 1918. The name & number of the soldier , a Sapper , has been handwritten to the lining.
With all brass Canadian engineers buttons to front fly & Canadian titles & insignia to shoulders/collar the cloth 'RE' patches are present on both arms. Interior show the clear handwritten name of a Sapper with his number lending itself to further research which I have not carried out. The paper clothing label gives us the date 1918 with , aptly , the manufacturer name 'H.Lotery' .a couple of small small pin prick holes discoverable upon close examination.
Overall in very good condition
