***Rare*** WW1 French Brow Plate For The M15 Adrian Helmet

An exceptionally rare example of the brow plate designed for use with the M15 Adrian helmet this being the French equivalent to the German 'Stirnpanzer'. Of note is the battle damage to the plate in the form of a hole to the front caused by a high velocity projectile of some sort & blast damage to a small part of its bottom edge.
These were fitted to the front of the Adrian helmet by means of a leather strap which was buckled around the helmet bowl. The metal was 4mm thick & weight around 2.5kg. Not used to any great extent due to its cumbersome & heavy unpracticality these are far rarer than the German Stirnpanzer counterpart.
