WW2 RAF 1940 Pattern Flying Boots

A pair of the 1940 pattern flying boots in good condition . These are not to be confused with the '41 pattern which came into service at the end of WW2 . Both have working zips marked 'AM ' with 'W' to reverse. Rubber edging is in a very acceptable condition with just minor cracking to left boot.

These boots came into use with the Royal Air Force during the earlier part of the Second World War and became synonymous with Bomber Command air crews earning them the nickname 'bomber boots'. They were actually used by all arms of the RAF as well as the Fleet Air Arm & USAAF, particularly the 8th and 9th Air forces.
