WW2 US M1 Helmet - Late War Pacific
A late war example as used in the Pacific . The outer steel helmet is in excellent stored condition and has 99% of the factory paint present . There is a front seam and swivel bales thus pre Nov 1944 . The chinstraps are in the OD 7 shade but fitted with raised bar earlier hardware . The liner is a very crisp wartime type by Westinghouse . There is a clear P stamp to the cradle showing Paul Weill company tape . The thin leather chinstrap is super as is the swat band and nape tape . The helmet is fitted with a large mesh type that was seen mostly in the pacific in army use ,that in format clearly took inspiration from the Japanese version .
