WW2 US Fixed Bale Helmet With Rare High Pressure Liner

WW2 US fixed bales M1 helmet with high pressure liner both in untouched condition .
The liner is a classic high pressure Inland version from the early transition phase 1942 having the cotton tape suspension as of September but having the snaps for the earlier Rayon sweat band which is said to have only lasted one month with the snaps deleted from the process by October. To the liners exterior is a very good original factory paint . The liner has a build up of dust from attic or barn with much strap toning & some loss of the bands forehead leather padding and suspension detachment . There is a very high degree of paint with just some rust staining . The shell is a classic early Schlueter . The chinstrap has the very first type of buckle with its characteristic hollow back and raised bar . The factory textured finish is still excellent with a nice gentle patina .The set is completed with a Dennison type large weave net .
