Falklands War 1982 Argentinian Battle Damaged Helmet Shell
A 1982 Falklands war Argentinian issued helmet that has a bullet or shrapnel penetration having gone through its right lip.
This helmet is a classic US made shell from the Korean war / Vietnam war era deemed surplus by the US Government & supplied to Argentina much before the conflict. These were typically reconditioned by Argentina as is the case here with a distinctive Argentinian dark rough textured green repaint applied to its exterior & Argentinian made chinstraps & fittings to inner. Having come back from the Falklands conflict the liner was most likely left behind perhaps as a result of wounds received via the impact hole.
