WW1 German Circular Swirl Camouflage M17 Helmet

A fantastic circular swirl pattern German camouflage helmet complete with original chinstrap & soldiers name to metal liner band.
This helmet has a classic ad hoc camouflage scheme to its exterior in thick dark green & brown circles with black border lines. Painted over its factory green paint the camouflage effect is still effective & colours still distinctive. Natural age can be seen to the hand applied over paint with commensurate wear throughout. Underside of rim gives us the maker & size 'G62' with a metal liner band of the M17 pattern & brown leather cushion holders. All three cushions are still present . When one carefully lifts the pads a name can be seen hand scribbled to the metal band. Finally , the intact chinstrap is a totally original example with steel buckle & leather in excellent undamaged condition. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find original camouflage helmets in todays market , a hands on inspection at any one of the fairs we attend is more than welcome.
