WW1 French 108th Infantry Regiment Officers Kepi & FootLocker
A WW1 French Colonels kepi of the 108th Infantry regiment.
This early prewar kepi is typical of those still being worn in 1914 during the opening stages of WW1. Of high quality private purchase with red woollen body & early style Hungarian knot to top for officer rank. Four gold braids signify this commanders rank of Colonel. Interior has leather sweatband perforated for ventilation , another quality feature supplied at the officers expense. Coming with 'footlocker' personal box also marked to the 108th regiment & having belonged to the same officer.
Cap in overall very good condition with a couple of moth nips to one side ( seen on images ).
