**RARE** British Made German Helmet For Instructional Training 1939
The only one I have ever seen for sale this is the rare early WW2 British made representation of the German helmet used by the British Army for instructional purposes in training films / enemy identification demonstrations etc.
Very crude in its construction it is of heavy steel welded together to make the 'coalscuttle' type shape with decals handpainted on either side representative of the national tricolour shield & eagle /swastika emblem. Overpainted in dark green it has a first issue 1939 dated oval dome padded liner system to interior with web chinstrap. Having been shed stored for many years it has some splashes of white paint to the interior which we have made no attempt to remove.
