WW1 German Shrapnel Damaged Trench Armour

A WW1 German chestplate from the lobster tail Trench Armour set having received shrapnel blast damaged to its left side. The blast has caused splintering to the metal as well as penetration holes as can be seen in the pictures. One of the lugs to hold the straps remains to the rear this showing crush damage from blast which has caused the other to displace completely as well as one of the rivets. In totally original condition straight from the battlefield , it has not been refilled or repainted in any way.
