Published WW1 German M16 Steel Helmet With Capture Tag - Featured In Stahlhelm By Oliver Lock

WW1 German M16 steel helmet that has a card capture label with handwritten script reading "Hun Coalscuttle'' found along a sunken road near dead Bodies. Ypres Sector Dec 1917' . This helmet features on page 191of Oliver Locks superb WW1 German helmet book ' Stahlschutzhelme' . Still with much of its origina green factory paint it has leather liner band to interior with three pad holders the two rear ones having cushions still within. Maker mark to underside of rim is present but difficult to read.
