An exellent combat example of the Russian SSh40 Model steel helmet with batch number date range circa 1943/44.
Chinstrap is of undyed cotton fibre almost white. All original green factory paint with original red star to front. This model was used until the end of production of the Ssh40 helmet at the Lysva factory in 1945.
