WW2 British HSAT MK2 Paratrooper /Airborne Helmet
A very good example of a 1944 dated Airborne helmet as worn by all Paratroopers and Gliderborne troops .
This version has the correct webbing straps that can be seen worn in period images of troops in Normandy as well as Arnhem and beyond to the Rhine crossing . The helmet shows some service wear with a very high proportion of its original WW2 rough granulated khaki factory paint still present under the net . Camouflage net is of correct wartime issue. Liner shows some light service wear however the date of 1944 , maker BMB & size remain partially clear . Size is a 7 1/4 . Webbing chin harness has the correct rayon tab this distinct & only found on wartime manufactured examples.
