WW1 German Camouflage M16 Helmet With Battle Damage

An M16 camouflage helmet that has had the initials 'GK' incorporated into the scheme these appearing on the top of the helmet within a long segment of tan ochre paint. All segments of the scheme are bordered with finger thick lines . The right side of the helmet has received blast damage causing a deep scrape to the paint & metal this resulting in splitting of the shell in this area & very slight distortion of the shell. Undrside of shell is marked with the rare 'K' maker stamp & size '66'. All three of the liner pins are original to the helmet & have exact matching paint to the rest of the shell. Both air vents have been plugged with wood to keep the cold out as was commonly done by the German wearer. Interior has an M16 liner with laminated band this being seen just before the introduction of the M17 when leather was being reworked from several pieces requiring several lines of stitching to reinforce the lesser quality materials.
