WW2 Gurkha Military Issue 'Kukri' 1943

A rarely found example of the official military issue Kukri as used not only by the famous Gurkhas but also by many other Indian & Allied troops.
This piece is a WW2 issue example with blade markings of 'M 43' denoting date of manufacture as 1943.
Brown handle is in good order with small abrasion to one side through use. Blade is still good with no pitting or damage & markings to throat area.
Dark brown covered leather scabbard is in used & aged condition with the end portion of leather covering having frayed away from its wooden inner shell & tip of wood splintered.
Certainly a true WW2 Burma veteran having recently surfaced from the effects of a former British Far East serving soldier.
