WW2 US Medical Wound 'Sulfanilamide' Powder

Sulfanilamide was in use from 1936 & was carried by Combat medics as well as in the soldiers dressing packs for cleaning wounds to prevent infection. Soldiers were trained to sprinkle this on before the field dressing was applied.
