WW2 German Winter Rabbit Fur Waistcoat

A classic German item of cold weather winter wear , these rabbit fur lined garments came in a wide range of styles & were tightly fitting so as they could be worn under the field blouse or greatcoat.
Often worn to destruction by German troops this piece still has all , bar one, of its original buttons to front with field grey wool lined buttonholes to left side. The field grey lining has been repeated to both shoulders this often being a weak point if extensively worn. Lined in rabbit fur this has remained intact. There is a row of smaller wooden buttons to the inside fly which could be used in conjunction with another item of clothing.
Applicable for wear in any theatre that the German soldier was based in & a hard to find item now.
