WW1 British '14 Pattern Helve Holder
All components of the 1914 pattern infantry equipment are very difficult to find the helve holder probably being one of the most difficult with only a few ever making the collectors market. This piece is a guaranteed original example with some of its original markings still partially visible in places. The maker to the rear appears to begin with 'STUARTS ' with a date underneath which I believe to be 1915 . There is an end to end broad arrow ' Out Of Service' stamp on the outer side This is a British made example having typical hose rivets & brass buckles.
A very rare piece from the '14 pattern set .
