WW1 US 1903 Pattern Cartridge Belt With Eagle Snaps
An example of the M1903 model of cartridge belt made for the .30-06 Springfield rifle . This is the second variant with 'puckered' pockets designed to prevent excess wear from the 'Spitzer' type bullets then in use.
These belts were still very much in use during WW1 , this variant with eagle snaps being not commonly encountered.
