An early version of the textbook factory helmet as worn here by a soldier of the Engineers . There is a very high percentage of the semi gloss light toned horizon blue paint . The one piece black leather liner is good and supple and the chinstrap complete .  read more

The typical 1 Litre M1877 bottle carried by all French dismounted troops during the early war August 1914 and on period .

WW1 French Soldiers Issue Ankle Boots.

A good pair of the classic rough out French soldiers ankle boots . This pair have good supple leather and are in a decent size for a midwar period mannequin display . The soles have all their nails and a round 5.15 stamp . There are further stamps inside each boot . Some of the brass eyelets are now missing however this does not effect fitting these with laces as the leather is good and strong .  read more
