WW1 German G98 Cartridge Pouch 1915

Barn found many years ago in the Somme area this G98 cartridge pouch is maker marked & 1915 dated to rear . Middle compartment has depot marking ' BA XV 1915' . All three cowhide spacers still present.

WW1 French 42nd Inf. Regiment Trumpet Banner

A French soldiers souvenir of WW1 being a beautifully made hanger for the 42nd Infantry regiment with Cross of Lorraine medal ribbon & Cross of Lorraine incorporated into the design.
Made from the 1915 horizon blue woollen uniform material it is edges in yellow which is the infantry branch colour. Some moth as can be seen in pictures but a very nice piece of WW1 French 'Poilu' history.  read more

WW1 French 150th Inf Reg 'Mouchoirs D'Instruction Militaire' No.9 ( M1886 Rifle )

Interesting pre WW1 barrack block instructional hankerchief for the French soldier on the Model 1886 Rifle.
These were made for the soldiers in a whole series on various subjects this being No.9 on the rifle. There are detailed drawings demonstrating parts & other relevant information .
