WW2 British service gas mask the haversack being of a MkV model dated with khaki stockinged facepiece & hose dated 1937.
This is one of the earliest of gas masks issued in the early war period the haversack being of a very early pattern. Facepiece is still supple with some slight stiffness to hose.  read more

US Breakfast K Ration 1944

A rare empty K Ration Breakfast meal as issued to US troops & used extensively in NW Europe where this piece was recently found.
Having existed since 1942 they were first issued in brown card cartons however this was changed to colour as here in May 1944 just prior to the Normandy invasion. Both the exterior & inner cartons can be seen here the contents long gone !
