WW1 French 130th Infantry NCOs Horizon Blue Kepi

WW1 French blue kepi based on the second type dating from around the late 1914/ early 1915 period.
This example has been worn by a Corporal or sergeant who has unoffically affixed the 'Chiffres metallique' of his unit to the front with gilt braided chinstrap held on by two flaming grenade embossed buttons denoting infantry of the line. This NCOs field type upgrade was not standard practice but often tolerated according to the preference of senior officers. Peak is of standard blackened leather with a numeral '2' which denotes its size. Interior has dark brown/black leather lining to headband & crown with liftable flap for owner markings ( Now faded ).
A well worn Kepi overall as evidenced by its 'worn in' leather interior lining showing some minor moth nips & tracks in places visible when closely examined.
