As worn by German troops in the early battles of 1914 the prewar pattern of red numbers were soon changed to green later that year . Consisting of early three coloured construction this cover is complete with all of its correct flattened hooks & leather lined spike cover to top.

Ornately wooden & glass framed photograph of a Prussian soldier , most likely KIA, wearing what appears to be a tin ersatz pickelhaube & with NCO rank insignia to collar.

WW1 French M1893 Pack 1917
French Field Pack of the standard WW1 M1893 model as used by the French soldier in the trenches of WW1.
In good condition it is constructed of light canvas with brown leather edging. The rear swivel carry straps are both intact & in good order to the rear. The inspection stamp to underside of flap is faint but appears to be 1917.
