WW1 Imperial German Map Marked To The 143rd ( 4th Lower Alsacian ) Infantry Regiment , XV Army Corps
This German map has map number & regimental marking ' 12 C JR143 ' for the 143rd Infantry Regiment . They were an Alsacian regiment raised in 1890 & part of XV Army Corps. Interestingly this map depicts the area from where the regiment were raised... Strasbourg , Mutzig.
No dates on the map however it is unlikely that it would have been produced in the post WW1 period. read more

An unblancoed 1908 pattern waistbelt with all of its brass fittings intact.
Untouched & uncleaned since WW1 the outer brass buckles have darkened with age & the faint ink markings to its underside are now no longer legible.
A super time capsule of a piece this belt turned up at a flea market in Northern France a few years ago & is no doubt a veteran of the Great War . read more
