Ornately wooden & glass framed photograph of a Prussian soldier , most likely KIA, wearing what appears to be a tin ersatz pickelhaube & with NCO rank insignia to collar.

WW1 French M1893 Pack 1917

French Field Pack of the standard WW1 M1893 model as used by the French soldier in the trenches of WW1.
In good condition it is constructed of light canvas with brown leather edging. The rear swivel carry straps are both intact & in good order to the rear. The inspection stamp to underside of flap is faint but appears to be 1917.

Probably the rarest component of '08 pattern equipment to find today we recently found this pair of the 1908 pattern webbing brace attachments as used by machine gun crews, tank crews & Other Ranks in the Royal Flying Corps to name a few.

A wonderfully original & untouched WW1 German three colour camouflage helmet with shrapnel hole straight through the top left front side & an original totally period chinstrap adapted from an ersatz pickelhaube.
