A very good condition 1944 dated example of the British paratrooper helmet this piece issued with the 'Third model' webbing chinstrap system.

WW1 German Messtin - 1918
A late WW1 model of German messtin this being one of the 'Ersatz' models in tin with green finish.
The tin or zinc coated messtins were produced up until the end of the war by some manufacturers who were still holding large stocks. Greatly replaced by the green enamel versions this would have been one of the last productions of its type.

A superb textbook example of the high rivet MkIII ' Turtle ' helmet as issued to assault formations of the 21st Army Group just prior to the Normandy invasion & seen in wear on the beaches of D-Day on the 6th June 1944.
