Made from offcuts of uniform material with a fastening button utilised from other French equipment marked ' Equipments Militaire ' .

A WW1 American campaign hat of the M1912 model with faded red hat cord for Artillery.
In the iconic 'Montana' style the hat is pierced by four ventilation eyelets with leather sweatband & five rows of stitching around brim to strregthen it.
