WW1 British Named RFC Maternity Tunic To Shot Down & Captured Pilot
This wonderful plastron fronted tunic is in the wrapover 'maternity' style so called for its resemblance to clothing worn by pregnant women. A rare textbook camouflage scrim netted 1944 dated example of the Mk2 British paratrooper helmet this piece being one of the first issued with the ' Third model' webbing chinstrap system.

Although many are 1944 dated or after they were introduced in 1943 this example being one such example with a WD inspectors stamp which is N coded for 1943.
