WW1 Canadian Cold Weather Hat 1918

A late WW1 Canadian item of issue cold weather gear this is the cap that came with ear flaps which could be pulled down over the ears.

A heavily used Garand cartridge belt in tan webbing with all of its charger divider straps still present.
The 'US' stamp is still visible to front pouch & there is one make fastener minus from this same pouch.

Trousers have deep belt loops & are in the Navy blue of the Royal marines.

WW2 US Gas Cape - 'Cover, Protective, Individual' Pre D-Day Dated 1943

A pre D Day 1943 dated U.S. WW2 issue Gas Cape still in its issue green packet to be used in case of poisonous gas attack.
These were in clear & dark green plastic & after unfolding completely protected the soldier with weapon & equipment. It could also be used as an overhead cover in a foxhole or to line its bottom.
