Rare prewar picklehaube helmet cover from Infantry Regiment 15 .
As worn by German troops in the early battles of 1914 the prewar pattern of red numbers were soon changed to green later that year . Consisting of early three coloured construction this cover is complete with all of its correct flattened hooks & leather lined spike cover to top.

Recently found in an Alsace wall cavity this 1907/14 Feldrock is from Landwehr Infanterie Regiment Nr 382 ( 44th Division ) & exactly the pattern of combat tunic being worn by the German soldier in the August of 1914.
